According to the New York Times & a class action lawsuit, the defect actually extends through 2010 model year. More info here.

Its not worth yelling its a pathetic vehicle. Think about it logically the wiring harness corroded after a couple of years on the road and it was covered in tape and was in between the frame rails. I had extended warranty and they didn't cover it I had to pay
