I purchased my 2005 Pathfinder new and have always taken exceptional care of this vehicle. I faithfully kept up with the required routine maintenance at a Nissan dealership. As a stay-a-home mom, the vehicle was not used daily; after 12 years it only has 85,000 miles. My paint is also peeling ... first, the rain channels on the roof; then, the pillars along the windshield; and now the driver front fender. My vehicle is also blue, which seems to be the common color for this problem.
When I first noticed the problem a few years ago, I brought to the attention of the Nissan dealership that has been servicing the vehicle since I purchased it. They told me it was "normal" wear and tear and there was nothing they could do about it ... except repaint the vehicle at my expense.
I am now in the market for a new vehicle. I love owning an SUV and have narrowed my choice to three vehicles, NONE OF WHICH ARE A NISSAN. FOR THIS VERY REASON, I WILL NEVER CONSIDER PURCHASING ANOTHER NISSAN VEHICLE!!
