I already sent my 2012 NV 2500 van to 2 shops and change the emergency OEM brake shoes those 2 times. If you set up the brake pedal and shoes to work properly to maintain, the vehicle stopped, then when you start running it with the brake pedal off it starts to make a grinding sound and the smell of burnt shoe pads start to appear. I opt to leave the emergency brake inoperable, losing the shoes a little.
