My TIPM system said the tire pressure was low. At the first service I told them to check what is wrong. They said nothing was wrong so they reset the TIPM and checked the tire pressures. The report says they set all tires at 38psi. Within one hour of leaving the dealership the dash light and warning was back on so I took it to another dealership and they said the tire pressure was all wrong, so they set it at 55psi in all tires and the TIPM was reset. In my research the proper psi is 44 front and 48 rear. My tires have 15,000 miles on them and have worn improperly.

Now what? The dealer should be who tells me the correct info.

Service by Nissan consistently sent me out with tires considerably under inflated despite specs as listed on door and service manuals. With considerable complaints regarding poor tire wear [durability], I have made numerous complaints to Nissan service about proper inflation. Then the "low tire pressure" light became my concern: At most inconvenient times [generally when I was leaving for a long trip at 4 AM, or returning home after midnight], the "low tire pressure" light would appear.

Often I drive on country roads where there is NO availability to correct this situation in a safe and timely manner. This is dangerous particularly when weather is bad! I have gotten more tire mileage from these tires than many have reported on other sites, but the constant checking [and arguments with Nissan service] of tire pressure seems ridiculous! Also, because of the small number of this type of vehicle [NV200] on the road, only Nissan dealers have overly expensive replacements! For years, I drove on high grade Michelins which gave me excellent value and mileage on my heavy weight full sized vans, and never had the tire use and pressure issues I have now.

Update from Mar 24, 2015: Managed to make 40,000 on original tires. Installed new tires [same as original], and we start again. Interestingly, dealership was very specific about suggested pressure 45 front/50 rear [close to recommended on driver's door]. No issues throughout this unreasonably cold winter. Unfortunately, no choice in tire replacement.
