We were on our way home from Florida when the transmission failed in PA. We had no choice but to get it repaired in the U.S.. We still had 500 miles to go home. We think the dealer took advantage of our situation. I wrote to the Nissan complaint department asking for reimbursement through a "Goodwill" gesture. Our Murano was 8.5 years old with 90,000 miles and not under warranty. They called back, apologized and that was it for the goodwill. We told them we knew about the lawsuits and that Nissan had problems with their transmissions. It didn't help.
This time I can't afford to get it fix. I am not trying to make money off this but I should not have to fix a problem for a transmission that has failed 3 times previously. I am currently trying to a lawyer or some help.
