The front bucket seats on the new Nissan Murano '09-'13 models are horrible: the front-seats are positioned to high from the floor, the cushions are short and have a significant back-tilt (~40 degrees) that cannot be reduced via 8 way power seat adjustment controls. On leather-appointed trims it feels as if one constantly is sliding backwards, which creates pressure points on lower back and thighs... The leather seats are firm and unsupportive. The worst is the pain in the hamstring from the front edge of the cushion cutting-in into the muscles... Quite impossible to drive longer than 30 min at a time... Nissan dealership has inspected the seats several times and has declared them functioning as designed... After five years of this new body style Nissan continues manufacturing the Murano seats in the same exact fashion--with zero regards to the driver and passenger comfort and ergonomics... No wonder the Murano has disappointing sales for the past 5 years... Traded it in for the '11 Rogue in 2010--couldn't bear the seats anymore.. The Rogue's seats are better but not quite comfortable due to the same seat design reasons...
