Please recall electrical system, started out the doors not locking and trunk wont open then inside lights would not come on. I put my steering wheel down lower and when I did the car would not start. The inside lights come on when the car wont start then when I move steering wheel back up the lights go back off and the car will start again. The all wheel drive lock button will not work and the all wheel drive kicks in and out on it's own while driving the vehicle. While my children and I were on our way to town the vehicle started to lose power and the steering wheel was hard to handle then the all wheel drive locked in and out and then power was back. It was scary and it almost caused me to crash and people to crash into me from sudden speed reduction. The mechanics I take my vehicles to told me I'll have to take it to a Nissan dealership to get the electrical system taken care of or replaced.
My complaint is that my car windows rolled down in the middle of teh night, next day car was flooded, was March 2021 Nissan said they had no idea why, ,then decemeber the same think happened, ,it snowed here so I didnt go out for 2 days then found my windows down again, ,no where was I near my remote and now Nissan is saying they say they dont T hink it was my remote that rolle dmy windows down, ,they dont kow why, ,ive been googling this issue and many Nissan owners have teh same issue, ,but I was not near my remote to do this
I see the air bag light on and won't turn off for about almost a week and a half after i Purchase it a week later this year and it lightly shakes when I put on drive, don't know if that will be another issue. Hopefully I can have your company gide me in the right direction to solve this problem.
Hello, i would like to report a problem. Didnt really see anything about transmission on the choices listed above. Well i got this car used from someone. Didnt really noticed the transmission problem until i was driving it for a while on the freeway. The transmission is just so bad. It is stuck on 3rd gear all the way. At high speeds. So imagine, the engine is whining so bad. The car basically wants to give up now. Still starts, revers, goes foward with no problem. Shifting is the problem. Also, ive checked the transmission fluid. Its still at a perfect level. Yes, it has roughly 129,000 miles on it. But really? This car should be lasting longer. Please. I really dont want to pay out of pocket for a whole new transmission. Theres got to be a way or something you guys could do to help me and my family.
While operating my vehicle on 6/27/2020 after 1hr of driving the car steering wheel would not turn almost causing an accident. I had to stop the car put in it park, turn the car off and then back on. When I tried to turn the car on and it hesitated then turn over. I then proceeded to turn the corner and the check engine light came on. This is the 2nd time this has happened and when I took car to car shop. The code was P0340, cam shaft position. I replace the cam shaft after this happened the first time. Now this has happened again, almost causing me to have an accident.
My Murano suddenly shuts off w/O warning if I am stopped at a traffic light etc. All the lights come on by themselves (interior lights/exterior lights/headlamps) and the only way to shut them off is to remove the battery terminals from their posts. This has happened multiple times and the car is parked and the engine is off. There is a high-pitched ringing sound whenever the front drivers door is unlocked. While I'm driving and the fob is in my pocket, an alarm begins to sound and alerts that the key-fob is not inside the vehicle; I must stop, shut off the engine, remove the actual key from the fob and insert it into the ignition and restart the vehicle (battery in the key-fob has been changed several times and the problem still exists). The vehicle battery has also been replaced.
My family has owned a 2007 Nissan Murano for nearly 8 years. In the last year, my wife has experienced extreme trauma as she has had the vehicle completely die on her while in the middle of freeways, highways, and residential roads. We have had the vehicle taken in and inspected by multiple Nissan dealerships and each visit has only resulted in their recommendation of routine maintenance being suggested, such as transmission fluid exchange, brake repair, or battery replacement. Our Murano has recently decided to repeat these same issues after over a year of normal function. My wife was driving the vehicle normally and all of a sudden she began to lose power until the car came to a stop and the function of the vehicle stopped due to what appeared to be an electrical problem. After assessing the issue, I attempted to jump start the vehicle with jumper cables, which allowed the Murano to start, but once it was independently idling, it would again lose power after an attempt to drive the vehicle. I am heavily concerned for the welfare of my wife and daughter as they drive this car daily. The Nissan dealerships that I typically rely on for these critical repairs have been no help and I am at a loss for why this has happened with such a long time frame between issues. I hope that Nissan will issue a recall on this problem and rectify any prior repairs that have been suggested as a resolution to the issue that may very well have not resolved the true issue at hand. I am in dire need of answers as to why a well maintained vehicle would be fine one minute and then completely inoperable the next. The vehicle has had many components replaced and maintained to prolong the life of the vehicle and with 180K miles has the potential to continue for many more. I don't want to pour money into this issue that Nissan needs to address, as I am not the only one having dealt with this!
Traveling East on highway 287 through town my car lost all power so I coasted to the side of the road in the middle of heavy traffic. The car was still running but would not accelerate while in gear although it would in park or neutral. Eventually it would quit and only start with a jump then run for a little while. The next day I went to go pick up my car on the side of the road having somebody give me a jump and then it wouldn't start at all. So then I went and got a new battery and it ran for as long as it took to run that battery down. I replaced alternator a year ago when I was having the same problem. I'm stuck I don't know what to do. Does anybody have a solution?
I'm concerned about the vehicle's safety due to the fact that the engines stops while driving on the road. No warning lights or anything indicating a problem.

We have had trouble multiple times with the rear hatch not opening electrically (the only way to open it).we have had troubles with the door locks either not locking or just some locking at this moment neither key bob will lock or unlock them.
Airbag light lit constantly, other indicator lights, brake, voltage, intermmitently go on then off. Power windows open by themselves when the car is parked and locked.
I had to replace my altenator 3 times. I bought the car 2 years ago at 90,000 miles. When it first went out, I bought one from autozone, then 4 months later is went out. I had a warranty thru autozone on the parts so the part was replaced but I had to cover the labor cost. 2 months later the altenator replace it again but I wanted labor cost covererd this time. They agreed to cover the part and labor. There must be an electrical problem with these cars. I ve read other owners of the same car having the same issue. If Nissan doesn't fix this for free, I will never buy another of their cars because I can't believe multiple times. I had two different mechanic so it not the person, it's the car, I believe so. The other problem I've had it that the air duck intake hose keeps disconnecting, it will cause my car to miss file and run very ruff, like poor performance. It can make the car shut off while driving or at a stop sign.
I was driving my car in the middle of traffic when I pushed on the gas and the vehicle wasn't moving anymore. The battery and brake light both came on. After a couple of minutes I was able to move my car to the side of the road by pushing on the gas. But the car wasn't moving fast. After a couple of minutes evrething came back to normal. My vehicle is in the mechanic shop right now and my mechanic told me the alternator is going bad. I will be replacing the alternator.
This car has an electrical problem. The dash board lighted components flicker back and forth from dim to bright when the headlights are turned on. The headlights when turning on go from really dim to normal when turning on. I have noticed this at night while driving. When going to buckle my son in his car seat the seat belts thin the rear lock and do not release. Unless all the slack it it is returned to normal. Which sometimes takes 3 to 4 times to be able to buckle him into his seat without the seat belt locking
In the past 2 weeks while driving my car, it randomly, completely shuts off. I have no electrical anything. My car will start right back up once I stop and turn the key. This happens several times anytime I try driving (just in the past couple of weeks) on the highway 70-80 mph or just down the street 25-40 mph and has also happened twice when I am making a turn! it is scary when I lose the ability to steer my vehicle.
