- Windows Down By Themselves? Not Likely...Read On - Actually in a nutshell, if you depress the lock button 2x or depress it 2x and hold it down the windows will automatically open, sunroof as well if you have one. It's a feature to cool the car down before you enter. I've read it's 1999 & later models. I googled word for word on youtube: *Why are my drivers & passenger windows opening without the vehicle running 2014 Nissan Murano? I received a plethora of makes & models with the exact issue & the why. Hope this helps, have a lovely day :)

Car is off, parked, and as I am walking away I press the Lock button on my keyless entry remote and "BAM" the windows roll down. So I have to walk back and open the car, turn it back on and roll the windows back up.
Its raining, I press the Unlock button on my keyless entry remote from inside my home so I can just run out into the car and be dry. And "BAM" the windows roll down, so now my leather seats are wet, and you get the point.
So it's like midnight and my daughter is crying so I give her my keys to play with, she presses on the keyless entry remote button and I think nothing of it. About 2 am, she wants her doll that she left in the car, so I go out to get it and find the windows rolled down... ANNOYING!!!!
