Was traveling some distance and started noticing a humming noise. When I got to my destination I had a friend drive with me that owned a mechanic shop and he said it sounded like the hub bearings. When I got home I took the car in 3 times and they kept telling me it was tire noise. I took it to someone else and same thing. When I took it back to them again, they said it was the hub bearings and apologized for letting it go as long as they did. They said I could have seriously been hurt if one of the tires came off the car at a high rate of speed. However, my other two cars never had these problems and they both had at least 100,000 miles on them before I traded them in.
I bought the Murano because of the ride. It was so smooth. I decided to try new tires, but that didn't help. I brought it back to the tire place and they were nice enough to inspect everything and found my bearings to be bad. He said they're had many Muranos come in with lower mileage with the same issue.
