I went to get the car installed with a tow hitch. When I told the mechanic I am driving a Murano he told me you sure there is no rust on the exhaust and muffler section as he has seen it very commonly on all Muranos. He installed the towing hitch. He went and looked at the car with me and we found out that the muffler was totally disconnected from the exhaust and was moving freely.
2-3 months while getting an oil change I was told that there is a lot of rust in the oil pan and when I asked why that would happen he says it is very commonly seen in all Muranos . I have kept my Murano in garage always and don't know why it would get so much rust. And it seems this is a common issue with Muranos according to the mechanics.
