Really Nissan, you have known about this problem for years, and still choose not to recall and fix this issue. Additionally I feel sick about the $35,000 I paid for this car, The engine eats oil, the coolant disappears with no signs of a leak anywhere, I never EVER will buy Nissan again!!!

When the seat lifter brace broke it was hard to tell exactly what was going on. The seat was sitting crooked and was wobbling. My regular mechanic took a look at it and knew right away what it was. Apparently, Nissan has acknowledged the problem by manufacturing a replacement part for purchase for 2006 and 2007 Muranos. Of course they are not recalling the part or even covering the part. (this is Nissan's style) The total cost was $675.00 to repair. My concern was that if an accident occurred the seatbelt would be holding me in with no help of the seat being properly attached. This was a huge safety hazard in my opinion. Shame on you Nissan. My husband and I had discussed another Nissan in the future . . . certainly not now.

The seat bracket broke about 2 months after buying this vehicle...there is no simple fix and this is super annoying rocking when you first sit in the seat

I own a 2006 Nissan Murano. I have had a squeak coming from the drivers seat for months. I told Nissan about it during a recent service. It is significant to mention how I told Nissan, because I asked the service manager, if Nissan has solved the problem with the seat as yet and his answer was that they had not. I then leave it for service and I think the only thing they did was grease what was the beginning of the "Seat Lifter Link Assembly breaking".

Needless to say the Seat Link Assembly broke today. Nissan service calls me about twenty minutes after I drop the car off to tell me what the problem is. The best part is that I am sure they knew exactly what the problem was when I first told them about it, and they want a $ 115.00 diagnostic fee ( what a croc of BS that is ) if I don't have them repair it. The price they have given me for this repair with tax is approximately $ 550.00.

At any rate I called Nissan customer service to start a complaint and ask Nissan to cover this repair, and they tell me they are referring it to a senior advisor or someone of that nature. I am now waiting to get a resolution from Nissan whether they are going to pay for this. Nissan states that they will take until the end of business tomorrow to get back to me. The vehicle is now out of warrantee. I will try to post later on as to what the resolution was.
