The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that the high pressure power steering hose was cracked and leaking fluid. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who inspected the vehicle and informed him that they had to replace the steering hose. The steering hose had to be ordered and it would cost $700 to repair. There was no warranty or recall related to the failure. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage were 70,650. Updated 03/24/11 the dealer replaced the high pressure power steering hose and power steering return hose and clamps. Updated 08/04/11
The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Murano. He noticed power steering fluid leaking out of the fluids' container. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, in which he was informed that the power steering hose needed to be replaced; however, the part was on back order. The current and failure mileages were 45,137. Updated 11/3/09 the consumer waited over 6 weeks for a replacement. Updated 11/05/09
