ignition fails to start engine strange noise
This is the second time I have this problem. The first time I was parked at a shopping center and the car key was on the ACC position, radio on and sunroof open. when I was ready to go I tried to start the engine and nothing happened! I thought I just run all the juice from the battery but it didn't make sense since the battery was new. So a friend came by and gave me a jump but it didn't change a thing. I read the manual and apply every suggestion given in the book, nothing! as I was trying many options I noticed that when the key is in the ignition and I try to move the shift stick away from P it made a click inside the steering column very close to the ignition. as something inside the barrel is preventing the car from starting and the dashboard is blank so are the rest of the instruments, the only light on is the symbol in red with the car and a key inside blinking as it usually does but nothing else. the front lights come on and the brake lights and the remote locks and unlocks the car. the first time after 2 hours of trying to figured something out and my mechanic on the way, suddenly out of the blues the sunroof reacted and close down and the door chime was active so I turned the key to on and the car was running like normal. now i left the car all night expecting that maybe something might reset the problem like the last time but no luck. the dealer is just a thief. The worst part was feeling so impotent and my 1.5 years old baby crying tired and hungry. after interests I paid close to $42k for this car, I am pissed off! why the US trade commission allows this kind of defective cars to be in the market or whom ever is responsible. I used to like Nissan but it is obvious the Company does not care about there cars like before anymore.
