This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
2 weeks after the 60,000 service (at 63,500 K)I had my catalytic converter replaced. At that time, the dealer said I needed the transfer case seal replaced ($800). That was not the real problem, the bearings were defective- I need a new transfer case (rebuild $900). But no parts are available so need to buy new transfer case from Nissan ($2500). Definitely a 2003 Murano manufacture defect.
