My window wipers will be on all winter and not go off, while I am indicating, they will turn off. If it rains in the summer they will go on but will go off after a while. If I wash my car they will go on.
My garage had no idea what was causing this, so they rang the Nissan Dealer, who told them I need to replace the control module at £300 plus £80 to recode it.
I Sought a second opinion and this time when my new mechanic looked under the bonnet and at the window screen and wipers. He said the car has a design fault. There is usually a drainage system in cars that takes the water away from the window screen and down through drains. In my car the water runs straight down under the bonnet and onto the fuse boxes, which is also why my bulbs have been blowing.
Not sure what can be done about this. Very frustrating. Was told I could try wrapping polythene around the fuse boxes to try keep the water out, but no permanent solution found.
