Airbag warning light stays on at the dashboard. Passenger air bag light indicates airbag is off when someone is actually in the seat. This is incorrect.

Went to work and parked. It rained that day, not sure if it-??s related. When I went to leave the dash airbag light stayed on. This was December 2023. There are no other issues with the car. No other warning lights. The car has 52,300 miles on it now. I just recently took it to the dealership to see about getting it fixed and was quoted $7k-11k in repairs. They told me -??it-??s usually the setback assembly. That could possibly fix it.-?? I was told the lifetime power train warranty that the dealership offers does not apply. I do have the invoice, but for some train the website is not letting me upload.

First, my passenger airbag light came on and will not go off. then my emergency breaking system activated while I was driving on the interstate and I was almost hit by a semi from behind I didn-??t manage to get the vehicle off the road I took it to Nissan. They did a diagnostics and couldn-??t find anything wrong with the car the emergency braking system has activated several times since then and now my whole dash system seems to freeze up completely and will not let me use anything in the car. I have to put it in park the car off and restart for it to work. Nissan has my vehicle now. They did another diagnostics and said it was a sensor in the airbags, and the whole driver side seat had to be replaced and I was told that my airbags would not deploy if I got in a car wreck since there is no recall for this issue so they say I have to put out-of-pocket that amount of money to fix my car and they want me to pay for another diagnostics fee. I have a car that does not have safety features that I paid for. Nissan wants to charge me again for another diagnostics exam and the cost for the seat they say about $5000.

Driver airbag light has been on for two years and dealership states that it will cost thousands of dollars to be replaced and/or repaired. I have researched online and this seems to be a problem with this year, make and model and may be a continuance of airbag issues that were included in a recall prior to this year model. Today, I am unsure as to whether or not the airbags will work properly in the vehicle if it is in an accident.

About two years ago, the driver airbag light came on and has been on. We took the car to Hudson Nissan in Charleston, SC to have it repaired and were informed that we would have to replace the entire seat to replace the sensor to the tune of about $4500. Based on a lot of information I have been reading, there has been a recall on certain 2017 Nissan Maximas but not all of them. I believe that my car should be covered under the recall or at least covered by Nissan because the sensors are known to go bad and there is plenty of information available online about this issue.

I have been taken my vehicle back and forth for the airbag lights coming on and staying on. They have changed the driver side seatbelt in which they installed in wrong and I had to take it back. Every time they say they fixed the problem, within a few weeks the airbag lights come back on. They have told my husband to check the wiring under the passenger seat, and when I took it back due to the airbag lights still staying on. They say they fixed the problem. This last time I took it back, now they are saying I need to replace the whole driver side seat. Saying something in the seat cushion is faulty, which is why the airbag light stays on.

Purchased 2017 Nissan Maxima at passport of marlow heights on 3/17/20. Took car to first service at passport on 6/22/20 for oil change & tire rotation. After further issues with my front left wheel and going to sheehy of waldorf for my second service I discovered that passport of marlow heights service advisor did not notify me of "the left wheel stud issue" while purchasing the car and until a week after my initial service visit of 6/22/20. The service advisor at passport reported a incorrect service date of 6/25/20 to cover up the late multi-point "lug nut" notification. On 1/8/2021 2nd scheduled maintenance at sheehy of waldorf, I requested oil change, tire rotate, 4-wheel alignment and balance. Sheehy found: Lug nuts were crossed threaded which caused studs to be messed up as well. Sheehy "replaced 2 lug nuts and 2 studs on driver front tire." For an added amount of $251.53. I left sheehy of waldorf after my service and as I accelerated, I felt strong vibration at each interval, I returned to sheehy and asked for someone to ride with me. A shop foreman drove my car and he felt the vibration at each interval. The foreman took vehicle back in garage and inspected wheels "& found that the right rear wheel has been welded & the weld has split & cracked. The other 3 wheels have bends in the wheel & out of round" video & photo provided by sheehy. Sheehy also informed that air bag light is on: Took car back to passport to re-inspect wheels/rim/air bag issues they created and after further research I found: Air bag recall: Report receipt date: Apr 26, 2016 NHTSA campaign number: 16V244000 component(s): Air bags - air bags: Sensor: Occupant classification. Now - passport is stating that my air bag light is on because "rodents have chewed thru my wires in my engine harness. Based on my research passport knew about this issue, dealer didn't disclose accident.

My daughter parked my car outside at approx. 10:30 P.M. at 2:05 a.M, it ignited and exploded. My state farm investigator said it ignited due to ABS actuator leaking brake fluid onto the circuit board. I called Nissan because there was a recall for this but they claim my car was not included in the recall. I had recently purchased the vehicle and only had it like 20 days. Car was totaled! consumer stated former licensed construction contractor, and a certified fire investigator specializing in fire origin and cause investigation, and consultation. He already inspected my car and told me my car ignited and exploded because the ABS actuator pump leaked brake fluid onto the internal circuit board which started the fire.

I was driving on the interstate where it started to rain and I hydroplaned slightly, so I let off the gas and recovered to a stop. The side curtain airbags then deployed due to a "tilt angle" being sensed, while all four tires were still in contact with the ground. The vehicle had no impact, no tilt, and no damage to the vehicle. I was able to continue and drive the vehicle home with the airbags taped to the ceiling. The car was then subsequently driven to the dealership approximately 50 miles away with no issue. I submit the vehicle to Nissan to analyze why the airbags deployed, and information was pulled from the edr. All I was told was the airbags deployed within an allowable time from a "tilt angle" being recorded. When questioned, the representative could not tell me how long that allowable timeframe was, why a tilt angle was recorded when all four tires were still in contact with the ground, and could not tell me if the sensors that send data to the edr were functioning correctly (but I could pay to have my own diagnostics run). Also, according the the edr report, in the "pre-crash" information before the event occurred, it showed the vehicle had already come to a full stop prior to the event. I have had previous minor electrical issues with the vehicle related to the radio and mileage tracking resetting themselves, which I had related to Nissan during the investigation, as well as the driver side automatic window falling open in the track when I shut the door. This investigation has taken two months, without any effort on Nissan's part to contact me with any updates. The dealership was also told not to touch the vehicle to even think about repairs, during which time I am still expected to make payments on a vehicle I don't have in my possession.
