My 2016 Nissan Maxima will shut down while it's running and I'm unable to accelerate. This has happened to me on several occasions within the last 2 months. I have had it towed to Scott Clark Nissan of Charlotte 3 separate times and I've paid over $3000 for repairs that did not fix the problem. The last time it happened, two days ago, I was riding home and it stopped while driving down the highway, which is very dangerous. I had to wait about 15 minutes, start it up again, and at that point it slowly cruised to where I could move to the side of the road. When this happens, my warning lights came on, the steering wheel locked, and the lights would dim. I also got a message when trying to crank the car, that my key fob was not recognizable. I have had battery replaced and lots of other work done that did not fix my issue. I have only had this car for 3 years and I should not have to go through this, because NISSAN chose to sell cars that had these issues. The dealership is unable to duplicate the issue and it looks like I'm stuck with having to get another car. I am really thinking about filing a lawsuit, because from what I'm reading, it's happening to a lot of Nissan Maxima car owners.
