This is what seems like a chronic, unrepairable knock that reveals itself @ 1400RPM but only in "first" gear (yes, I know this is a CVT but Nissan simulates shifting). Seems to happen when the engine is warm and/or recently driven, stopped, then re-started. Driving it in "first" gear right after a re-start seems to bring out the problem. It's hard to record, but if you listen to the attached web link (my public OneDrive) you can slightly hear the noise around he 18 - 20 second mark as a low rattle.
Car has been left multiple times with the dealer and I have personally reproduced the issue for them. Dealer has had the car for almost two months time with no progress. They did replace fuel injectors which quieted thee engine background noise (some days it sounded like a diesel) but the 1400 knock remains unresolved.
