There's a class action lawsuit filed in late 2011, & it is still in the "discovery" stage. Apparently, these things take time ... far too much time.
Recently purchased my 2004 Maxima from an older couple with only 39,000 miles. The transmission is slipping. Had a transmission fluid exchange service done and problem did not change.
