Few days ago the air bag red symbol start blinking. Then, I turn off the car and try to re-start the engine but doesn't start engine anymore. Car is unusable. Thanks to god! its just happened close to my house. Car was left at the front of my home.
Takata recall hi, the reason why I'm writing is I had a recall quite some time ago about a year maybe and it was done but a week later it came back on the dash flashing and it still flashing and I do know that this should not be on like this so I need to know if there is a recall for this, if so could you please set up an appointment so I can fill safe while driving.thank you so much and I look to hearing from you soon.

The vehicle was not repaired. The local dealer was not notified. The manufacturer was informed of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 120,000. I see on your website my model year 2001 Nissan Maxima was recalled for air bags. I have never been notified that there was a recall for the air bags. Also there was a recall on the suspension control arm transverse link pins. I don't ever remember seeing a recall for that either

I was at a red light, when it turned green I pushed the gas pedal and it would go. I had to use extreme force for the car to go. Ever since February 2014, its been happening every day. I'm scared the gas pedal's going to get stuck and ill crash. When I turn I hear a knocking noise coming from the tire/suspension.
2001 Nissan Maxima. Consumer writes in regards to air bag system issues. The consumer stated an appointment was made, to fix the air bag recall, issue. When he returned to pick up the vehicle, the service advisor informed the consumer the air bag inflator had been replaced. He further advised the air bag would not function correctly even with the new replacement part installed. But, for an out-of-pocket fee of $100, he would have his shop mechanic do a complete inspection of the system and determine why the air bag system continued to be dysfunctional and why the air bag dashboard lights continued to flash. The consumer declined the additional work on the air bag system. When the consumer entered the vehicle, he found 3 wires hanging below the glove box, in plain view and the air bag light still flashing. Recall # 13V136000.

I just recently had a recall on my 2001 Maxima concerning the air-bag I had the work performed at the dealer, 2 months later the same flashing air-bag light comes on. I just wanted to know was it fixed are they just did something to cover up. Are there any consumers experiencing the same problem as me, I took it back to dealer they said it was some kind of circuit module had a defect. Should this had been what they needed to fix the first time.
