This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
When applying brakes to come to a stop, vehicle will surge forward. Engine revs and RPM's go up all the way. Only way to stop vehicle is to press on brakes very hard and throw vehicle in neutral. Then, engine stops revving and RPM's go down. This happens only at slow speeds when trying to come to a stop. Vehicle taken to dealer 4 times, could not remedy. Consumer states this occurs infrequently.
