Nissan not taking this problem seriously. This should be a definite recall and replaced for free. The airbag has not ever been deployed which indicates a system failure due to faulty product. The product is not one of the car's "wearable" parts and should not be considered the same as brakes. This is a product that has been declared a mandatory safety restraint by the NHSBA. It's time Nissan, and/or any other auto manufacturer, to step up to their responsibility and correct the problem before another life is taken due to the failure of this part and the lack of action to replace it under a recall. Oh, wait, it is way too easy for them to pass the buck to the consumer and nickle and dime us to death!
