The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Juke. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed but failed to respond. The vehicle was taken to Nissan of richmond (11401 w broad St, henrico, va 23233 (804) 346-4200). The contact stated that the mechanic replaced unknown fluids and balanced the tires. The vehicle was returned however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was then taken back to the same dealer and the contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced at a cost of $5,000. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was unsuccessful in attempts to speak with someone from the manufacturing department. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.
