pretty bad
engine problem
This is a Nissan defect and they know it. The timing chains are crap.

Apparently this is a known issue and through 2015 Nissan was fixing this for free. We bought this car slightly used from a dealership in 2016 (not even a Nissan dealership) so we never got any correspondence about the "safety campaign" (they won't call it a recall). I noticed a rattling noise and asked my mechanic to check it out while he was doing my oil change and turns out to be this timing chain issue. They have to drop the engine to get at the chain, the fix will take 10 labor hours. Thanks Nissan.

I had both the Turbo and Timing Chain go out on me at the same time. I had taken it in to the dealership at about 24,000 miles for a recall on the timing chain, so the Nissan gave me 70% reduction in the cost of the repair because it went out way too soon. However, the frustration I have is that it did go out that soon. The Turbo is another upsetting thing... I should not have happened at 94K miles on the car!
