Juke started making whining noise as I accelerated, no power when pressing gas pedal all the way....This happened while on fwy driving 75mph, then all of a sudden reduced to 50mph and wouldn't go above that despite pressing pedal to metal. Engine light came on. Took Juke to Nissan dealership in Gardena. They diagnosed, said I needed new transmission - $4000. I was just over 60,000mile warranty at 62,616 and 7 yrs.
Could not afford so I called corporate Nissan. They agreed to pay entire amount for me. They emailed Gardena Nissan where my car was and work was to start on my car. After problems with service guys not calling me for a week, finally car was ready to be picked up. I picked it up and while driving off the lot, noticed exact same problem, no power on gas pedal...and the engine light was still on. Car took a long time to get up to 40mph (This car (Sport) normally accelerates very fast. Made a u-turn and brought car back. They now say they did another diagnostic and now a "Turbo" code shows up. Seems like they did nothing. They said they test drove it but how could they not notice no power. Not even sure if they changed transmission. Guy was a jerk.
