My Stock Nissan battery keeps going bad. Twice actually. The first battery when out at 60k miles, I purchased a brand new one from Nissan and not even 2 years and it went bad again. It had prorated warranty still on the battery! Worst part is the dealer here in Fresno, Lithia Nissan will not exchange it without going through the service department first. I had to make a appointment which consist of being in line behind 70 cars. But, I need the car and i can't even turn off the car or the car won't start. I knew it was the battery but the Parts department will not budge and exchange it for me. I ended up having to go to AutoZone and picking up a new aftermarket battery. I lost out on the prorated rate on the Nissan battery. From now on I will not buy battery from the dealer as it's a pain in the ass to exchange it. Autozone will never need a tech to go test the car!! They will exhange on the spot as long as you have the bad battery.
