Bought 2016 Frontier Pickup used at 48,000 miles, Evap vapor emission problem begin at ~85,000 miles (often, fuel would be sprayed back out the fill line when filling-Code P448), Purchased aftermarket carbon canister & associated solenoid valve and replaced at home. Some time later, I found letter from Nissan (~ a year) saying cases of the Frontier pickup having this problem was noted & solved by a recall for vehicles < 150,000 miles. Took to dealership at 110,000 miles. Price to correct was $1100+ (replacing carbon canister, fill line, solenoid valves, vapor lines). Nissan would not cover even a portion of the cost.
Went to fill gas tank and gas splashed out of tube, had to squeeze trigger very gently so as to not splash, takes forever to fill. The check engine light came on. Dealer says not a warranty issue due to over 36,000.00 miles, but I've heard otherwise. Going to contact Nissan see what they say.
