This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The truck has an insufficient heater for the North East's cold weather. The engine warms up quickly, within 2 miles. The heat output at chest level takes as much as 10-15 minutes if night time temps were less than 20 degrees F. at that point. It takes longer at the floor level no matter what position the controls are in. I found that the floor level indicator heat also exits at the defroster and the outside chest level vents. This leaves painful cold at the floor level for more than 20 minutes. All this is maximum effort for the heater. This is a health issue for me as a diabetic with leg blood flow problems and resultant varicose veins. Is this a result of a ruling? I have not found one on your site.
