Vent Mod On Rear Axle - I had this same problem on my 2012 Frontier SL 4X4 at 44,000 miles. The dealer replaced the entire rear final drive due to this on warranty. The next day I did the rear axle vent mod on the new rear differential. See the link posted to fix this problem.
Well, just another problem with my Nissan Frontier!! 51,000 miles, and a leak under the truck. Gear oil leaking out of front seal on rear differential. Cannot believe the problems with a vehicle that only has 50,000, miles. Bought a new vehicle, so I would not have to deal with these kind of problems. Well Nissan has taught me a thing or two.
