Just after breaking 100,000 miles on my 2010 Frontier King Cab 4X4, the rear leaf springs are breaking. I just replaced the passenger side two months ago with a spring from a 60K truck. You can see that it is already starting to separate and will most likely break in the near future. The driver side just broke yesterday with no warning.
This truck has never been off road, never had a heavy load, or hauled a heavy trailer. I have owned several trucks in my life and never broke a rear spring. This truck broke both in a two month span. As you can see in the photos, I have hauled small odd car parts for a car project I have.
People buy Nissan and Toyota for their claimed reliability. The simple parts don`t hold up.

Have appealed to Nissan, but to no avail. Leaf springs should last at least 100000+ miles. Truck has never hauled more than 325 pounds--large lawn mower--and never been abused. Looks and runs like new middle spring broke in two, defective metal used in this component.
