Bought a used 2008 Nissan Frontier in May 2018 at Melloy Nissan in Albuquerque NM on Lomas. Had a little under 100K miles. Added an extended warranty of an additional 20K miles. On the way home the check engine/service light came on. Didn't think much of it because a lot of vehicles have this problem light. Did check oil and tranny fluids and all seemed ok.
About a month later the transmission seemed to skip at times. When first taking off it would get sluggish. 2 months later called the dealership and told them what was going on and was told I would have to bring it in to get a diagnosis at $120.00. Went online to see what information I can get. Read somewhere that I should check the coolant to see if it had become contaminated and sure enough it was.
At this point my ECU fuse kept blowing every time I tried to restart the engine. Called the dealership back and told them what I had found out. I was told that because the radiator was the original cause of the problem, they would not honor the warranty. What a pile of sh*t. Have to fend for myself. Wouldn't recommend this dealership to no one. Still can't find the problem with this fuse blowing. Please help if you can. I'm on disability and can't afford much. Thank you.
