2008 Nissan Frontier. Consumer request that NHTSA open, or reopen an investigation into the leaking of rear axle seals issue, which results in axle lubricant spraying onto and thus disabling the brake disc and caliper. The consumer stated his vehicle was disabled by the defect in September 2011.

The consumer requested that NHTSA open a full investigation into the axle seal/brake issues. The consumer stated his vehicle has not been repaired.
