the 2008 frontier had the wheel hubs changed and the brake rotors, pads. then the abs light came on so I cleaned the abs ends and made sure there was a solid wiring connection ,erased the dash code and it was fine for about a day then the abs light came back on along with the slip light. so I replaced the abs wires, checked the whole brake system over found NO leaks everything appeared normal, but still the lights stayed on. so I did some research and found that a bad camshaft/and crankshaft sensor had been the cause of the abs slip lights to come on in other frontier owners. so I changed the sensors, which by the way the engineer who decided on the placement of these sensors should get his ass kicked, the plans look pretty on paper but if you're the unfortunate person who has to bend and twist into these sh*tty positions it sucks, if I wanted to be a contortionist I would have joined the circus.... anyway..... I took off the front passenger side tire and the inner cowling, to replace one of them then laid in the engine compartment with about 2 inches of space to remove the other sensor that was very close to the firewall only to clear the codes and test drove it and the lights came back on. so I had enough with the mystery ailment and driving a "4x4" that refused to go into 4wd and the lights wouldn't go out . so I said "F*ck it" and bought a full-size Dodge Ram and the 4wd actually works...…..
