CarComplaints.com Notes: For years, Nissan trucks and SUVs have had problems with coolant destroying the transmission. And for years, Nissan has done nothing about it.
The 2007 is no different than the 2006 and 2005. Just avoid it.

This code threw once about six months ago and I replaced the evaporative solenoid that was supposed to fix the problem. Well it did for six months and then the light came on for the same code (P0448). I took the new part off and checked it and it worked fine so that was not the problem this time, and now Nissan wants me to replace the charcoal canister for $800.00, not no but hell no. I live in Montana and you do not need to pass a Smog test, another good reason to live in this state.
So I was looking on a Frontier Forum and there was guy who cut the bottom off the charcoal container and it was full of dust. He dumped out the charcoal and sealed the bottom back up and for over a year now, I believe, he has not thrown the code. Here I go, cutting it off. $800.00, bullshit on that.
