My mechanic tells me that all but the 5.6 liter engines have this problem, he tells me that the gasket will have to be replaced about every 20,000 to 30,000 miles. You will notice an oil puddle that you may think the filter itself is leaking but it is the oil housing, no damage just leaks oil whenever you park for a period of time.
