CarComplaints.com Notes: In a very limited selection on small pickup trucks, the Frontier is one of the best options except -- and I cannot emphasize this enough -- for one problem that makes it an avoid-at-all-costs pain in you know what: the radiator ruptures and leaks coolant into the transmission, killing it. Such a buzzkill.

This problem affects most 2005-2008 (and maybe beyond) Frontiers.

After getting the transmission fixed in October 2009, I took it back 3 times for same problem with in a year. Now that transmission warranty is up, they have truck at shop again. Now saying it's the torque converter. This Nissan is a POS! Check engine light came on the minute I drove off car lot. I was told it was because I didn't screw gas cap tight. Nissan is the worst. I have replaced transmission and radiator within 7 months of being new owner. I would never suggest Nissan to any one.

Frontier SE

If the truck is in drive while at stop light or going down the road @ 1500 RPM (slightly lugging) I get a high frequency vibration in the steering column, floorboard, and brake pedal. It's worse when the A/C is turned on. West Valley Nissan in Glendale, AZ refuses to admit that there is a problem and will not attempt to repair it!!!
