Frontier N/A

  • Automatic transmission
  • 53,600 miles

Was leaving work during a heavy thunderstorm, no warning transmission just quit, was forced to park it on the side of the road. Had it towed the following day to a transmission shop, which was on a Friday. I won't know about the cost until Monday sometime. I have always been diligent in keeping all the fluids at the proper levels, and I did check the fluid prior to it being towed it was grey in color and would indicate coolant possibly leaking into transmission. While the reports are pointing to 2005 - 2007 as having this problem this would indicate that the problem goes back further as the truck had just over 53,000 original miles on it and was a new purchase.
