Since I purchased each of my Nissan Frontier trucks (2003 and 2004), I've had a "POP" as metal snaps against metal when the steering is close to its limits. This is especially pronounce if I'm turning on a slope, and is stronger in my 2004 truck. It scares pedestrians nearby and passengers in my truck.
