Since first summer, this truck has overheated or runs hot at standing or parked position, gauge indicated this. The dealers says they found no issues. While waiting to sign paperwork, I found the truck was nearly overheating. I showed this to dealer, the response was to make an appointment in 1 month. As with dealerships the 1 month appointment was not honored. They had me wait all day and tried to reschedule for another day. this was due to staffing issues at dealership in Yuma Arizona.
I can cool off the truck by driving it or running it at high rpms. there were no leaks of coolant or other indicating factors.
What I did find was the fan blades are made of cheap plastic. initially when the truck is started or moving the fan blades do enough to keep the engine cool, but once stopped the same problem for 20 years now.
I have replaced the fan blade with original Nissan parts thinking it was a defective, replaced the fan clutch, thermostat, coolant, water pump, temperature sensor, and more including a heavy duty radiator with global coolant. Several times thinking just maybe the new part is defective and not blaming Nissan.
The issue continued 20 years ..... until this last round of heating.2023 I had one fan electric installed last year ... it appeared to help, but the heating continued. this year I installed a 2 high volume fan kit to fix this issue. It worked until just a few days ago. now I'm especially pissed off.
I bought the truck new, I've had other issues but this one and the ongoing stuttering is just upsetting to say F$%$^ off Nissan.
