ABS light came on, I checked on the internet to see what the problem might be and came up with a number of reasons, the last being have it checked ASAP. Took the car to my repair shop to have it checked. Found code C1116 stop lamp circuit was the problem, which I had fixed. When I picked up the car, I was told that getting the part wasn't difficult because it was a common problem. They also told me that my brake lights wouldn't work because of the circuit problem. In my opinion, this is a safety concern; if your brake lights aren't working how can anyone behind you know your intention to slow down or stop. What's more, how am I to know that my rear brake lights are not working" I'm in the cabin driving and unless I am alerted by another driver behind me, what am I to do"
