This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
One night after having recall work done, as I was driving the car, at every red light, the car would start surging forward as if it wanted to go. As I depressed the brake even harder, the car started shaking. I drove it straight back to the dealer but it stopped doing it and hasn't done it since. However, it also started not starting when I depressed the brake and pushed the ignition button. Generally I had to push the button, nothing would happen, the next push brought up the accessory lights and then next push made the car start. However, since this has happened a dozen of times, the last time it happened, the car wouldn't start after four tries and after I had depressed the brake and was reaching in the back seat to get my keys and phone and figure out the problem, the car suddenly and all by itself started the motor up. The mechanic ran diagnostics and still can't find the problem. I don't feel safe in the car and am trying to get the dealer to make it right. They want Nissan to be involved in helping that happen financially and Nissan is sticking to lemon law regulations. I refuse to drive this car anymore.
