The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the brackets where stripped and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 63,000.
The contact owns a 2009 Nissan Armada. The contact stated that after entering the vehicle the interior roof panel was discovered hanging from the roof of the vehicle. The contact indicated that while driving the panel had to be held to avoid it from falling down onto the driver. In a separate incident, while driving approximately 5 mph the interior roof panel detached from the roof and fell inside the vehicle making contact with a passenger seated in the second row middle seat. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that the panel would need to be replaced. The manufacturer was not notified. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 77,100.
