The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was told that the failure was a common occurrence. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 67,826 and the current mileage was 72,019. The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Armada. The contact stated that the lift-gate struts failed and caused the lift-gate to strike the contact abruptly on the head, causing injury. The dealer replaced the lift gate but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but denied any assistance with repairs to the vehicle. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 18,000 and the current mileage was 25,800.
