I bought my 2020 Nissan Altima used with 7k miles. Clean Car Fax and everything. That same week I noticed a noise coming from the right side of the vehicle. It sounded like a low droning-humming at speeds 50+ mph (as the issue got worse this was happening at lower speeds) when taking right-hand turns only.

I had to bring it in to MANY dealerships to get it fixed. They refused to acknowledge it was in-fact a wheel bearing at first. They did not actually put the time and effort in to testing the issue. I had to bring it to a mechanic at the car dealership I personally worked at, in order to get a clear diagnosis.

Then, I went back to Nissan for the 6th time, and I told them what the problem was and spoke with the manager. Then, they suddenly were able to diagnose the issue right away. Even with other noise and music, this noise was clear, so it did not make sense to me that they "did not hear it" when anyone riding in my car complained of this. Come to find out, that they never even test driven it. One dealer even told me the problem just was not pronounced enough to warranty it yet, and I would have to wait for something worse to happen. If they had let this problem progress, my car could have eventually crashed, or wheel have fallen off according to the advisor.

So, this problem did not get fixed for a good 20k miles despite knowing it had a problem. It was covered as a defect under warranty fortunately.
