NOTE: The MIL may or may not be ON.
And
Diagnosis has determined the exhaust valve timing control solenoid valve is the cause.
ACTION
Replace the exhaust valve timing control solenoid valve.
NOTE: The exploded views in the 2019 and 2020 Altima ESM may incorrectly label the exhaust valve timing control solenoid valve and the exhaust valve timing intermediate lock control solenoid valve. The exhaust valve timing control solenoid valve is positioned below the exhaust valve timing intermediate lock control solenoid valve on the front cover.
