This car was driven by my wife with our 3 children. She told me the car does not respond all the time when she presses the gas pedal. I rode with her one day and the car just sped up like she pressed the gas to the floor. When I asked what was she doing she said it was not her, she removed her foot away from the pedal and the car would stall and speed up and we did not know why. She was scared to drive it after that. We took it to the dealership Porter Nissan Cleveland Ave. in Newark Delaware and they kept the car for about a week. They said they had to replace faulty transmission parts. The car only had about 39000 miles on it.

I was driving to a relatives on Christmas day. With no warning car quit being under power. engine running but was coasting and slowing. I was in the outside lane of a 3 lane highway (I-5). I luckily got into the right lane even tho extreme traffic. My grandchildren were in the back seat. I was freaking out as this was a construction zone with no curbs and a semi truck closing fast. Suddenly the car surged to life and I was able to get enough speed to avert an accident.Scared my wife to death and I was shaken. Completely unexpected. I think it's called the limp mode. Haven't gotten it repaired as local dealer saw my list of other problems (that I will Post on here) and asked me to leave. They asked me what I was trying to accomplish and I told them all the repairs made and a car as reliable as my Prius had been. They put their heads together and said their boss with a 3 letter title said he wouldn't be helping me. Take it back to the car lot I bought it from they said. It was clear to me they knew they would be seeing a lot of me as I think these problems are haunting them. Also had an extreme drama with the CVT and throttle lag at a stop.Car was my wife's Christmas present.I am so ashamed I didn't do my research. I thought Nissan was on par with Toyota and Honda.
