The battery stopped working this morning. Tested the battery, alternator - both were fine. I wasn't surprised as the car started immediately after connecting the cables. The car barely started after leaving it at work all day, and I suspect I'll need a jump in the morning.
Something in the electrical system appears to assume that the car is idling, despite it being shut off. The fuel efficiency indicator dropped from 35 mpg to 10 mpg the night the battery stopped working the first time. Perhaps that's a function of having a low battery though? I'm assuming this has to do with the computer. I don't trust the local dealer after some shady lease buyout price additions and some unnecessarily bent parts after an inspection, so I need to figure out who can service it here locally. Seriously annoying.
Update from Sep 9, 2019: The test of the battery was incorrect. Battery replacement fixed the problem.
