When driving in rush hour traffic with a lot of stopping and starting, the car hesitates for a few seconds when I push on the gas after a red light or stop sign. It has not caused an accident or injury yet but it's just a matter of time. I can't believe there is no recall on the transmission when so many people have had this same issue!

16 Nissan Altima sometimes has about a 5 second delay in acceleration as car just idles and slowly rolls ahead. This is very dangerous when you are taking off and crossing on coming traffic. Took it to Nissan dealer they said nothing they can do because it doesnt show an error code. Same with Nissan usa corperation. Says nothing they can do untill shows a code or fails completely. So basicall they are saying that this vehicle is safe to drive" new transmission about 4500 dollars. My warranty runs out at 90,000 miles, wich is an aftermarket warranty that I paid 2500 $ for. Im sure that they hope the warranty expires so I get the bill. Nissan knows about problems with cvt transmissions, and footpedal position sensors and does nothing about it. How can they be in buisness" how van they tell me it is safe to drive like this. I think it should be a recall issue.

The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that the vehicle was included in three unknown recalls. While the contact's friend was driving at an unknown speed and attempting to stop, the vehicle shut off without warning. The vehicle was towed to the driver's residence. The contact called morrie's brooklyn park Nissan at 612-426-5487 (located at 7875 brooklyn blvd, brooklyn park, mn 55445) where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not approve the repair under the warranty. The contact stated that there was no clear explanation for the manufacturer's decision. The vehicle was towed to the seller (cornerstone Plymouth, 763-559-5300, located at 3901 vinewood ln N, Plymouth, mn 55441) who connected with the third party warranty company and repaired the vehicle. Additionally, while the vehicle was at a car wash in July of 2019, the rear window shattered without warning or an impact. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.

On multiple occasions, after coming to a complete stop vehicle would not accelerate after pushing the accelerator. In addition to this now the transmission will not up shift for road speed. Vehicle, when placed in park or neutral, will rev up when accelerator is pushed but not while transmission is engaged in drive. Again the acceleration problem has occurred multiple times over the past 4-6 months. The shifting episode occurred in addition to the afore mentioned problem today 20 Oct 2019.

The car started shacking once it would go about 25-30 mph. The check engine light turned on after and it was read by a mechanic as a code P0841-transmission fluid pressure sensor/switch. This happens on city streets and highway driving.

Car started to lurch and whine while driving at any speed. Two weeks later it got worse and started to lose power or fail to accelerate while driving. Now vehicle will not go into gear most times. When it does it fails to move forward or backward, while pressing the gas pedal. Mechanic informed me that the transmission is slipping and needs to be rebuilt or replaced.

On the 14th of June, 2019 I was driving to work. When suddenly I felt my car power decreasing as I pressed the gas. Soon as that happen I new something was wrong so for my safety and other I took the nearest exited to local street and found a safe area to check my car. Turn it off and back on and I started driving sgain it seemed like nothing happened but after about 10 later it completely lost power no matter how hard I pressed the gas. So I called a tow truck and we took to the repair shop and I found out that the transmission on my car has died and it will need to be replaced. And that will cost me alot of money. So I called a Nissan dealership and they told me it will. Cost me $3000 for new transmission. So my next option was to check with Nissan if they will help me so I called the Nissan customer service so they asked how much miles I had in the car and I told them 70,000 miles. But sadly they told me my warrant end at 60,000 miles. I need my car for work so at the end it took about a week to get it fixed and costed me around $2000. Worst experience I have ever had to deal with with this car. What surprised me is that I always took good care of it since the first time I got it I made sure all maintenance that was needed for it was done but I was surprised that my transmission died at only 70,000 miles. So hopefully this help in anyway for other who have the same issue.

I had stopped at a red light, when it turned green my car stalled and wouldn't accelerate. Once it did, it wouldn't pick up speed. Car will go up to 4rpm and will only go 10-15 miles P/hr. No service light has appeared. This happened in city streets. This first happened two weeks ago and been happening every time I've driven the car, which has been three more times, have not driven it since.

We were traveling from Chicago to springfield, mo and were about 110 miles from home traveling 75 mph when the car suddenly started to buck, then we heard a brief screeching noise twice. The car would rev up suddenly to 3-4 thousand rpms randomly. The car began to lose power uphill when trying to accelerate. None of our warning lights came on at all.

Call stalls and RPM revs out of control. Stopped at red light, light turned green and car went into neutral state and began rolling backwards. Pressed gas pedal all the way to the floor, only for car to barely move through major intersection and traffic. When finally able to move car made a jerking motion and stalled before it moved at regular speed. Took car to dealership diagnostic ran and they said that the transmission had to be replaced

I was driving on a city street at 30 miles an hour, when I approached the intersection to take a tight hand turn I was yielding for oncoming traffic completely stopped. When I went to slightly move forward to see if I had the right away my car jolted forward. Just sped up and would not respond to de acceleration. I almost crashed into children crossing a side walk. The acceleration was completely out of my control. This has happened a couple other times just not as significant. I did notice it's happening whole my ac is on.

2016 Nissan Altima. Consumer writes in regards to defective passenger side airbag and defective keyless push button. The consumer stated other failures included rear doors opening independently, engine was loud, tire pressure sensors were inoperable, and the emergency communication lights were constantly lit. The consumer stated all the repairs were to be repaired under recall. The consumer was unsure that the dealer actually completed the recalls as it only took an hour to be completed.

In March 2019 my vehicle had 54,000 miles. I was stopped at a light & when I hit the gas and the car jerked forward and would not accelerate, leaving me sit in traffic. It eventually moved. I took it to jones junction Nissan and they "could not have an error code" for the problem, made me buy a carb kit to fix it. Two months later, in May 2019, with 58,000 miles on my car, I was driving and the car stopped accelerating. It would not move when I hit the gas and I had to drift for 2 miles to an advance auto parts. When I turned the car off and then back on, it started working again, but would hesitate on occasion, particularly when stopped. I took it into the dealership again and they could not find an "error code" so refused to replace the transmission even though when the mechanic drove it, he also felt the hesitation. Nissan had the dealership "re-program" the transmission and sent me on my way. Nissan refused to replace the transmission. One month later I went in for an oil change and let the mechanic know if was still hesitating a little bit when I would being taking off from a stop. Yesterday, August 26, with 62,000 miles on my car, it started hesitating and jerking on the highway as I was driving and would not accelerate again. I had to pull over, stop the car, restart it, but the problem continued. It did the same thing on the ride home, jerking every time I had my foot on the gas, and not accelerating at stop lights and in traffic. I've had the vehicle in to jones junction Nissan 4 times now for the same issue. To date, they have not replaced the transmission - which is a cvt transmission - and after looking online I see there are multiple complaints and issues with this type of transmission. It has a problem that needs fixing! it is getting ridiculous that I have to take it in there so often for the same issue and Nissan will not resolve it.

The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Altima. While driving, the vehicle jerked, shuddered, and the speed decreased from 70 to 20 mph. The vehicle was able to be pulled over to the road shoulder. The contact shut the vehicle off and sat for ten minutes. The vehicle was able to be driven home. The vehicle was towed to don davis Nissan (1320 I-20 frontage rd, arlington, tx 76018, (877) 415-3218) where it was diagnosed that the transmission and active shudder assembly needed to be replaced. The manufacturer stated that the power train warranty expired and opened a case for the contact. The manufacturer offered to help pay 60% of the repair costs for the transmission only. The vehicle was not repaired and the contact was assigned a loaner vehicle at no charge. The contact still had to pay over $2,000 to cover the active shudder assembly and was still responsible for $1,500 towards the remaining transmission costs. The failure mileage was 112,000.

My 2016 Altima began to studder and jerk while trying to accelerate and looses power while driving which is an extreme safety concern. Took the car to 2 different transmission shops one stated I needed a new transmission $4500 and the other wants to charge $987 in order to take apart the trans to find the exact part and repair that, contacted Nissan and was told the extended warranty is for years 2003-2010 which is disgusting since my car is only 3yrs old getting the P0841 transmission fluid pressure sensor switch A/B circuit range/performance. Nissan stated I would have to take it to a Nissan dealership for them to diagnose and they will try and negotiate something to lower the cost of repair dealerships want to charger anywhere for $99-$150 just to look at it. I am already out of money because I drive full-time for a living and only have one car. I will never ever buy a Nissan again I am disappointed that Nissan would extend a warranty on an older car but not one 3 yrs old for a problem that they are full well aware of.

When car is cold it will run normal. When the car heats up the car will not take off. When driving its like you stomp on the brake then start again. Took the car to auto zone and had them read the codes there were two transmition codes. So we took the car to the Nissan dealer ship and there were a bunch of different codes. They told me I needed a oxygen sensor and a new transmition. Almost 8 thousand dollars worth and the car only has 88000 miles. Wow is all I am saying. Out of pocket for a newer Nissan and then dont have the money to get it fixed. Vehicle is not covered under warranty. Thank you Nissan.
