coolant leaking from raditor or reservoir from time of ch
What upset us is the fact no one told us this might be a problem with Nissan. I realized the coolant was droping but I didn't realize how much till they replaced over a gallon of coolant. I noted on a Nissan site the extent of damage the leakage could cause. As it was a Sunday, I couldn't replace the coolant because you need a certain brand, blue in color. I believe they changed the whole hose that contains the cap area. They told me they replaced the cap, added new coolant. They told me the problem was the system couldn 't thold the pressure needed to make the system work. Had I driven the car much longer it may have caused a leak in the head gasket, or damaged the car. In any event, I learned how many problems Nissan has after reading on the net.
I don't know how far I can drive the car but we DON'T TRUST NISSAN. Nissan told me to keep checking my floor for any new drops as that's how I located the leak. They tried to tell me it was windshield washer fluid as I kept the white paper tire I used to wipe of the spot. I told them I know windshield fluid and this stuff was thick and would not spread out. They didn't like my answer and the service manager avoided me after that.
