CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2014 Nissan Altima shows multiple problem trends, continuing the poor reputation of the 2013 Altima, prompting us to give it our "Beware of the Clunker" badge.
I'm a recent widow...had to trade in a beautiful Honda Accord when my husband died because the payments were to high. Bought this Nissan in Aug 2016 and around Dec first I noticed the steering wheel shaking when I slow down to a stop light...but it being winter I thought it was snow or ice related. Now in March it is still doing this. I can't afford to have this looked at. I have a single small income, as I said had to trade down in order to have a vehicle but was assured this was a quality car with some of the manufactures warranty still active. But, I'm sure no warranty covers brakes. I have never had a Nissan before, I've always been loyal to Honda and now I know why. I'm so disappointed.
Bought the car 2 weeks ago, problems the first week with the car shaking while applying the brakes' I took it to Nissan and they resurfaced the rotors instead of putting new rotors saying that Nissan has a policy to turn them instead of replacing them because they are still new... This is a 2014, why do I need rotors turned already? When car only had 100 miles on it when I bought the car???
